School is back in session and I am a little sad to see summer come to a close. However, I will not be sad to see these record-high temperatures go! I am longing for the cool mornings that accompany the beginning of fall. I’ve even spotted a leaf or two starting to change color already! And how about Georgia football starting off with a bang! I'm holding strong, but I know a pumpkin spice latte is in the near future for me. Oh and maybe a pumpkin loaf from Dilettos Bakery.
Ok, you know what...maybe I'm not that sad.

How's the market? In one word, “steady.” The market isn't roaring the way it was a year ago, but with increased interest rates, that is expected. The one thing that hasn't changed is prices. It seems all the experts agree and data reflects that due to a lack of inventory, sales prices are holding strong. The one thing we are seeing is longer days on the market. My prediction, in the next year we will see prices hold strong and demand stay high. When rates drop back into the 5-6% range we will see bidding wars again. So, buy today! Date the rate and refinance when they drop. Don't sit on the fence waiting or it will cost you major equity you could be acquiring.

There are SO MANY great events around town this month. Downtown Flowery Branch has been outdoing themselves with every event they hosted over the summer. The 25th annual Dragon Boat Festival is guarantied to be a fun family day at Lake Lanier Olympic Park. Y’all know I love to dance so you’ll see me cutting a rug at the Abba cover band concert at the Arts Council!

We had a FANTASTIC open house on August 8th. Thank you to our vendor partners King of Pop, Nancy's Flower Truck, and last but not least, our preferred lender, Cleveland Miller with Bank South Mortgage. Cleveland is one mean grilling machine!
